VISITING
THE MUSEUM
-
- A visit to the National Museum of the Morgan Horse is a journey into an exciting chapter of the nation's history and a unique educational experience. The Museum tells the history of a truly American breed - The Morgan Horse - through chronological displays.
The Museum's Main Hall contains changing special exhibits and there are free "Information Sheets", as well as general educational materials. A research library and archives are open for the serious researcher by appointment.
Groups are welcome, and with advance notice, visitors will be guided through the Museum.

The museum will be closed for the week of July 26th. Museum staff is attending the New England Morgan Horse Show in Massachusetts. The museum will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, August 3rd. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The National
Museum of the Morgan Horse is in Shelburne, Vermont, next to the Shelburne
Museum, just off Route 7 at 122 Bostwick Road.

GETTING TO THE MUSEUM
From the Interstate: Interstate 89 to Exit 13, I-89 to Route US 7 south.
From the North: Follow Route US7 south through Shelburne Village, and take the first right after the Shelburne Museum, Bostwick Road. The Museum is the first building on the right.
From the South: Follow Route US7. As you are approaching Shelburne, the left turn onto Bostwick Road is one-half mile beyond the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory.
The Burlington, Vermont International Airport is served by several airlines, including United, US Air, Delta, Continental and Jet Blue. From the airport it is 10 miles to the Museum by way of Route US7 south.
